Future Trader was designed to work with most operating systems such as Windows, MAC, and LINUX. Should you run into any problems please make sure that you have the necessary system requirements:

Installation Instructions
Future Trader is a Java-based program that utilizes Sun's Java Runtime Environment (JRE). First time users of the platform must install the JRE before attempting to login to the system. The official Java Runtime Environment download (Version 6 Update 16) from Sun Microsystems is available on our website.
Step 1
Locate the downloaded Java file in your download folder.
Double click on the javaruntime exe file.
Wait a little while and you will be asked to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Click on “Accept”.
Step 2
The installation will start automatically and will continue for a minute or so.
Step 3
Once the installation is finished, you will see a thank you screen.
"Click "finish”.
The JRE is now installed.
Launching Future Trader:
Step 1
Once you have successfully installed the Java Runtime Environment
Launch the Future Trader platform
Step 2
Your browser will recognize that you are accessing a Java Web Start file (jnlp) and prompt you to select the appropriate application.
In the window that appears select the "Open with" option and make sure that either "javaws", "JNLP default" or "Java Web Start default" is selected in the drop down list. Then click OK.
Step 3
Once the application has loaded, the platform applet will automatically load.
You will see the Future Trader login screen.
Click on run if you are prompted to.
Please have the Username and password that were created when you registered ready, they are required to login into the platform.
Creating a Future Trader Desktop shortcut:
Step 1
Open the Java Cache Viewer: Windows:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Java Linux/ Mac OS:
Launch the control panel from the menu or from the ControlPanel executable file located at [Java installation directory]/bin/ControlPanel.
Step 2
Click “View” under Temporary Internet files
Wait for the Java Cache Viewer window to appear
Step 3
Select Future Trader
Step 4
Click on the Install Shortcut icon
The Future Trader shortcut should now appear on your desktop
Clearing Your Java Cache:
When Future Trader is first loaded, it is stored in the Java Cache Viewer. Each time Future Trader is thereafter loaded, it is loaded from the Java Cache Viewer. As GT247.com releases newer version of the platform, you will need to clear you Java cache in order to make use of the latest version. If you haven't cleared your cache and a new version of the trading application is released, the system will not let you login. But we'll let you know when a new version is released, and when you need to clear your cache.
Step 1
Open the Java Cache Viewer: Windows:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Java Linux/ Mac OS:
Launch the control panel from the menu or from the ControlPanel executable file located at [Java installation directory]/bin/ControlPanel.
Step 2
From the Java Control Panel, select the General tab.
Click on View in the temporary Internet Files Section.
Step 3
The Java Cache Viewer will open.
Right-click on the Future Trader application and select Delete from the menu.
Alternatively, select the Future Trader application and click the Remove button.
